Lesley Younge

Lesley Younge is a multi-genre writer and educator from Silver Spring, Maryland who blogs regularly at teacherlesley.com. Two books for young readers will be published in spring 2023. Nearer My Freedom is a found verse novel that uses Olaudah Equiano’s acclaimed autobiography as source text and A-Train Allen is her first picture book. Lesley is a fellow of the Hurston/Wright Foundation and Anaphora Literary Arts. Her poems are a practice in compassion for herself, others, and the world.
